Somewhere just outside Bratislava is a train track famous for its ability to transport tourists travelling from Poland to the Czech Republic. Beware, with or without a visa you will be woken up abruptly, in the middle of the night, to show your papers.Also in Slovakia is the only place where you can take a flying lesson on Soviet MIGs. A four-day instruction and tour in the old communist aircraft can make anyone's blood rush. Last heard, the price was under 500 pounds sterling. What a deal!
